Dr Nick Bell

Dr Bell qualified from Bristol University in 1998 and trained largely in hospitals in the South West of England. He undertook a research fellowship in Edinburgh with the UK Cystic Fibrosis Gene Therapy Consortium between 2007 and 2010 developing a research interest in Multiple Breath Washouts in the assessment of lung disease. Nick was appointed Consultant Respiratory Physician for Bristol Royal Infirmary, University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust (UHB), in January 2011, is an honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol, has been Centre Director of BACFC since April 2017 and is research lead for BACFC. He has a particular interest in improving health care through better use of information technology and is Divisional Medical Information Officer for the Division of Medicine, UHB.
